The Wee Amigos to appear on US TV
A pair of Irish teen country and western sensations are to travel to the US in February to appear on a top chat show there.
The Wee Amigos, which is made up of Gerald Ahern, 13, from Cork, and Ben Troy, 14, from Monaghan, will appear on The Variety Show as well as a number of morning shows which have been organised for them while they are in Detroit.
It will be a great start to 2013 for the pair who this year won Young Country Act at The Southern Ireland Country Music Awards, the Horizon Award at Sky television’s Hot Country Music Award and Country Act of the Year at the Tipp FM music awards.
The Wee Amigos general manager Steve Boor said the boys have shot two new videos.
"One of them is called The Gambler that Kenny Rogers did a few years ago. The TV station forwarded the video to Kenny and he loved it and there is a possibility he will be surprising the lads on the show."
Earlier this month Ben and Gerald also launched their second album The Two of Us.
