At the age of eight, having attended a service at St. John's College Chapel in Cambridge, Oliver Lepage-Dean was desperate to join the choir. After a successful voice trial, Oliver (or Ollie, as he prefers to be called) served as a chorister for six years, culminating in two years as Head Chorister. During this time he particularly enjoyed the privelege of performing with Jose Carreras at the Royal Albert Hall. He toured extensively with the choir, including Japan, South Africa, the United States, Holland and his native Belgium. His voice broke midway through the American tour, just five weeks after completing this recording.
Ollie also plays the clarinet and the piano and on leaving St. John's College School, won a music scholarship to Haileybury College in Hertford where he continues with his voice studies. His home is in Cambridge.
