Maddox Ross is a 11 year old singer/songwriter/musician that loves "real" Country Music and has been performing on stage with a live band since the age of 5. In a very short time, the Oklahoma-bred talent has developed a following in the Heartland. Maddox fell in love with CMT at age 2 1/2 and started signin & draggin his guitar around to the sounds of Garth Brooks, George Strait and George Jones. He first grabbed a crowd's attention at an amusement park where they had a karaoke stage. "I wanna do a concert," he said. He sang every word to "Friends in Low Places" and was a hit. A few weeks later Maddox was entered in a karaoke contest at the State Fair. He tied for first. He then auditioned for the Oklahoma Rodeo Opry in July 2009. Later that day Maddox and his parents received a phone call and were invited to sing for the show that very evening. Almost 2 years later and Maddox is now a regular at the Opry, including starring in the Opry Heritage Concert Series, which is a unique field trip for schools across Oklahoma. The Rodeo Opry has been a true blessing & has given Maddox opportunities he would have never had. Maddox, a member of the Country Music Singers Association, performed in Branson, MO at the Clay Cooper Theatre during the summer way-way back and the August following he sang for a non-profit organization that offers an early Christmas celebration for the terminally ill and loved ones. Earlier this year Maddox performed at a fundraiser for the Toby Keith OK Kids Korral. This will provide a home for pediatric cancer patients and their families while they are receiving treatment at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center. Maddox had the awesome opportunity to perform on stage with Neal McCoy in Branson & sing @ the World famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashville. He also made it to the top 20 of Americas Got Talent you tube contest. He’s been busy this summer performing at Freedom Fest & in Arlington, TX @ the historical Johnnie High’s country music revue. Maddox also enjoys soccer, golfing with his Dad & watching Super Hero movies. He also enjoys playing the Fiddle & Guitar. After watching Garth perform live in Vegas..... Maddox hopes to sing on stage with Garth one day. And after a trip to The Grand Ole Opry & a backstage tour. Maddox asked "Dad, when will they put my name on that wall?" Big dreams for a youngster. From luggin' that ol' six-string around the living room floor to grabbing a microphone on stage at several towns, churches, and oprys, Maddox is having a blast entertaining fans across Oklahoma.
