What’s the sound of excitement coupled with fear? Of bliss and discovery mixed with loss and pain? Of late night video chats? Of empty afternoons? Of full worlds waiting to be conquered? What’s the sound of not knowing what to say? Of sharing your secrets through the internet? Of wishing you could just be with someone, right there, right now? What’s the sound of being a teenager?
Luke Jagger knows the sound of being a teenager because he is one. At fifteen, pop vocalist and songwriter Luke Jagger writes and performs with the maturity and seriousness that pervade burgeoning minds and lives. His music is relatable on an emotional level without forgetting the joys and excitements of life. You can dance to it. You can cry to it. You can live to it.
Tearing up local venues with the School of Rock when he was just 8, Luke transitioned from drummer to singer with an innate stage presence and a passion for the spotlight. He has gone on to sing for large audiences including the Highline Ballroom and the Gramercy Theater in New York City. In 2011, he sang “America The Beautiful” at Nassau Coliseum for over 15,000 spectators.
Currently, Luke is recording both covers and original material at The Loft Sound Studio in Plainview, NY. His covers of John Legend, The Neighbourhood, OneRepublic, One Direction, Bastille, Fallout Boy and Imagine Dragons have reached thousands of people on YouTube, even spreading as far as Alaska, Denmark, and Brazil. Luke’s original singles, “Save Your Breath” and "Revolution,"can be purchased on iTunes. He looks to record more original music in the future.
