Frank began writing music at the age of 9 years and professionally recorded two songs, “Up and Away” and “Moving On” when he was 11 years old.
In 2010, Frank was awarded the Junior Singer/Songwriter Prize at “Dream Inc” in Melbourne and it was at this competition that he was first noticed by David Jaanz (Jaanz School of Singing). Since that time, David remains Frank’s vocal coach and mentor.
In 2011, Frank was scouted on Youtube by a Canadian talent scout and producer, Frank Castle, as well as Manager Michael Gerdsmeier. He was consequently signed to GMI Music Management and Entertainment, LLC in Los Angeles at the age of 12. Frank is now travelling between Melbourne and Los Angeles recording his original music with Grammy Award winning producers First Born, Devine Evans, and Grammy nominated producer, Dre Knight, in addition to Australian producers Lee Bradshaw and Bignote Productions.
In addition to his musical skills, Frank Dixon is also an actor and has appeared in many high and low budget productions in Melbourne. Performances include, “Waiting for Godot” (with Sir Ian McKellen – “Lord of the Rings”), “13 – A New Musical” (lead role “Archie”),"Charlie Brown - the Musical" (Schroeder), “The Wizard of Oz” (Park Players) and 7 short films including “Roundabouts”, “An Illness at the House” and “The Brotherhood”. For acting, Frank has been represented by Centrestage Agency since 2010.
Frank is being touted as the “most promising young singer/songwriter in Australia”. His unique voice and melodic ballads are sure to touch the hardest of hearts. More importantly, Frank is a genuine gentle kid who just wants to touch the world with his original songs!
