    Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840–1893) was a Russian composer of the Romantic period and remains the most popular composer in history of Russia. Known for his soaring melodies and lush orchestration, he successfully bridged Russian folk traditions with Western European classical forms. 🇷🇺.  🎻
    
    As a child, once saved a cat and young Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky was described as a "glass boy"—extremely sensitive, brilliant, and deeply affected by music. His family owned an orchestrion (a giant music box), which played tunes by Mozart. Listening to it moved him to tears even as a small toddler kid. French governess, Fanny Dürbach, called him a "porcelain boy" because he was so sensitive. At just 4 years old, he helped his sister Alexandra write their first song together, titled "Our Mama in Petersburg." He began piano lessons at age 5, he spent his free time singing in the school choir and sneaking off to see operas. He also learned to speak French and German fluently by age 6, at age 8, he could read sheet music as well as his teacher. , at age 10 train to be a civil servant, at only 14, the teen was so sad mother died that he wrote his first "serious" piece of music—a waltz—in her memory.
