Bundesjugendsingen (Austria)

The Austrian Federal Youth Singing Festival (Österreichisches Bundesjugendsingen) is the largest youth choir musical competition in Europe. Established in 1948, this major musical event takes place every three years, rotating to a different Austrian federal state for each edition.🌍

The event is open to school kids choirs, youth group choirs, and vocal ensembles with singers young children/teens, boys and girls, aged 6 to 24 years old. Choirs are judged in different categories based on school type, age group, and vocal ensemble composition. From June 29 to July 2, 2026, the festival was hosted in Linz, Upper Austria. Around 800 young singers representing 36 selected choirs performed at the Brucknerhaus Linz. Event organized by Austrian Federal Chancellery (Bundeskanzleramt).🎸🎻🎺
