Aaron Floyd (United Kingdom)

    Boy | Pop | Piano
Aaron is only 13 but he's quickly establishing himself as one of the UK's hardest working young artists. In 2015 he performed around the country at venues including Birmingham Hippodrome, Jimmy's Farm Festival, Kensington Roof Gardens, Havering Show and Romford Xmas Lights Switch On. Moving into 2016 his aim is to triple the number of gigs he does!

Aaron was born in May 2002. He lives in Chigwell, Essex and is a regular performer on the Essex music scene. His mum (a saxophonist) and dad (cellist) encouraged him into music from a young age. He took to it immediately, initially imitating his favourite singers, but soon finding his own uniquely soulful style.

In 2015 at the age of 12 he has begun his journey into writing, recording and gigging and penned his first track 'Wish You Hadn't Gone' (about a girl who left his school to move abroad). It has already caught the attention of Simon Cowell, who described Aaron as a future star.

His aim over the next few years is to continue improving and making lots of music. He'd also like to perform at the BRIT awards!

Aaron has sung for as long as he can remember. He took up piano aged 8 and quickly worked through his grades. However, his heart lay in contemporary music so he began focusing on playing by ear and learning to improvise to chart songs.

Always keen to sing whilst playing, he has learnt to accompany himself, working through the back catalogues of many of his favourite artists.

His influences include John Newman, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran although he enjoys listening to all kinds of music. His favourite song is Sweet Lovin by Sigala.
